A Welcome Note from TexSyn VII Organizers
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to TexSyn VII, the biannual gathering of synthetic chemists across the great state of Texas. Established in 2013 by Mike Krsiche and Doug Frantz, this meeting continues a proud tradition of bringing together researchers from industry and academia to celebrate and advance excellence in organic synthesis and catalysis in Texas.
Over the years, this event has served as a cornerstone for the Texas synthesis community. What began as a regional initiative has evolved into a high-impact forum showcasing the remarkable breadth and depth of chemical innovation taking place across our institutions. From total synthesis to novel methodologies and catalytic processes and mechanistic insights, the work presented here continues to showcase Texas as a National and International leader in organic chemistry.
TexSyn is designed to foster intellectual exchange, collaboration, and community. We are thrilled to offer a dynamic program that includes presentations by some of the most accomplished scientists in Texas, alongside world-renowned speakers and distinguished industrial experts from outside the state, who bring global perspectives to our discussions and underscore the critical role of industry-academia partnerships in shaping the future of synthesis.
Our vibrant poster sessions are a highlight of the meeting, providing students and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to share their latest discoveries in an engaging and collegial setting. These informal discussions often spark new ideas, collaborations, and career-defining moments.
In support of our next generation of scientists, on-site job interviews will be facilitated during the conference, providing a unique opportunity for employers and candidates to connect. We are proud to provide this platform for career development and professional growth.
Beyond the scientific program, we invite you to explore the cultural richness of North Texas and the Dallas area. Whether you’re interested in art, history, cuisine, or simply enjoying the urban landscape, Dallas offers a wide range of experiences to enhance your visit. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with colleagues both inside and outside the lecture hall.
We thank all of our speakers, poster presenters, sponsors, and attendees for making TexSyn possible. Your participation helps carry on a tradition of excellence and collaboration that defines our community.
Welcome again to TexSyn. Let the brainstorming begin!
